Weekly Programme

Wilderness Perspectives

In the frenetic modern world, our connection to nature has been strained and never so necessary. Wilderness Perspectives is a nature therapy programme designed for organisations that wish to promote mental wellness, anxiety reduction and outdoor participation.

The aim over the course of these one-hour sessions is to provide participants with meaningful experiences in nature that will enrich their worldview and create space for mindful reflection. Whilst the participants will learn about photography it could be considered more of a vehicle to explore the environment and the participants’ place and feelings within nature. As such, it doesn’t matter what kind of camera they have. Certainly, a smartphone would more than suffice. This course is paired with the Center for Outdoor Ethics – Leave No Trace (LNT) Awareness training.

The course concludes with an online curated gallery of the participants’ work that can represent and celebrate their experiences.

There are a number of flexible elements to this programme to suit different organisations’ ambitions. Please get in touch for more details and to see how Wilderness Perspectives could support your initiatives.
