2 Day Photography Expedition

Wilderness Canoe Adventure

The humble canoe has been the workhorse of wilderness journeys for millennia. Now we can use these versatile crafts to access wild places whilst carrying our camera kit in relative comfort, the canoe taking the load. The Wilderness Canoe Adventure mini-expedition in Cornwall combines tuition in canoeing, wilderness skills and of course photography.

Paddling along Cornish tidal rivers with wooded shores there will be ample opportunity to photograph wildlife, capture landscapes and document the trip through reportage and adventure photography. We will set up a wild camp for the evening, cook over a fire and if the weather gods are pleased with us, enjoy shooting the night sky with minimal light pollution.

You may feel you’ve been away from civilisation far longer than a weekend on this immersive trip into nature, enhancing your outdoor and photography skills whilst treating your soul and mind to an escape from the day to day focusing instead on the gentler rhythms of natural world and enjoying the company of like minded adventurers.

Led by Wilderness Photographic’s Christopher Lucas, a qualified Canoe Guide, Leave No Trace Trainer and director of photography on the award winning canoe documentary The Yukon Assignment.
