Leave No Trace for Photographers
As outdoor photographers, we have the privilege of capturing magical moments in nature and awe-inspiring landscapes. It seems only fair that we do our part in advocating for the natural world, protecting the environment and role modelling best practices.
The 7 Principles of Leave No Trace are an established system to promote a minimalistic approach to enjoying the outdoors. Developed by the Center for Outdoor Ethics for all users of the outdoors, we have adapted the principles to suit the needs of the modern conscientious photographer.
Over the course of two remote online sessions, we will cover the principles of Leave No Trace and how they apply to outdoor photography. Between sessions, there is time for reflection and participants are encouraged to consider what small changes they can make to operate in a more environmentally sound and sustainable way.
